8 Things That Are About 8 Meters (m) Long

Virtually everything has a length, and while we can’t know it all, having a general grasp of certain length categories can help you estimate the length of other items.

This piece includes a list of 8-meter-long things as well as critical information about each of them.

1. Reticulated python

The reticulated python is the largest snake species on record, with a Malaysian specimen measuring 8 meters captured on a construction site in 2016.

These non-venomous, constricting snakes can be found in rainforests, woodlands, and grasslands throughout South and Southeast Asia.

They eat mostly small and medium-sized mammals, but they’ve also been known to eat bears… and people!

2. Orca

Orcas are also known as killer whales, although they are the largest species of marine dolphin in the Delphinidae family.

An average-sized orca, at 8 meters long and 5,400 kilograms, can consume up to 230 kilograms of food every day.

There are no predators for these apex predators, so they hunt in family pods, catching everything from fish to adult whales.

Orcas may be found in all of the world’s waters, with some hunting strategies and vocal communication that are unique to each pod and passed down through generations.

3. The Statues of Love

The 8-meter-tall statues commemorate the tragic love story of Muslim youngster Ali and Georgian princess Nino, who was torn apart by the Soviet invasion.

The statues would move towards each other at 7 p.m. every night, briefly embrace, and then pass through each other. This is a powerful work of art.

The “Statue of Love” was made by Georgian artist Tamar Kvesitadze, in which two figures, a man and a woman, move toward one another and merge into one piece every 10 minutes.

The story “Ali and Nino,” in which an Azerbaijani teen falls in love with a Georgian princess, inspired the artist.

The statues are constructed of steel and weigh seven tons. They are currently on display in Georgia’s Black Seashore.

4. The pedestal of Christ the Redeemer statue

Christ The Redeemer is a concrete and soapstone monument that was created in Rio de Janeiro between 1922 and 1931 and is considered one of the world’s most famous statues.

The statue is located atop Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, and it is now one of Brazil’s and South America’s most popular tourist destinations.

The monument stands 30 meters tall, with an 8-meter pedestal, a 28-meter arm reach, and a weight of 635 metric tons.

The base or support on which a statue, obelisk, or column is erected is known as a pedestal.

5. Hot Max Extension/Appliance Hose for Propane Gas

Hot Max’s 8-meter propane or natural gas extension/appliance hose is UL/CSA listed and rated at 350 PSI. 1/4-inch Male NPT x 1/4-inch Female Ball Seat Pipe is the industry standard. All brass fittings should be swiveled.

It’s compatible with a wide range of goods, including all Hot Max torches and the majority of other weed burner torches. Also works as an extension hose for portable propane appliances such as grills, turkey fryers, and other camping/RV gear.

Although the hose is rated for natural gas, due to the hose’s tiny diameter and natural gas’s low pressure, it can only be used for small appliances requiring less than 40,000 BTU.

The hose is readily available on Hot Max’s website, Amazon, Walmart, and most walk-in stores for home appliances.

6. Garden Hose

A garden hose can be found in a variety of sizes in most homes.

Many people use a garden hose that is 8 meters long, but they are also available in 15 and 20-meter lengths.

A garden hose can be used to determine the length of something that is exactly 8 meters long.

7. Length of two average cars

The average car is around 4 meters long. Of course, different manufacturers and models will have varying lengths.

A medium sedan will be roughly 4 meters long, while a compact automobile like a Mini Cooper will be around 3 meters long.

The length of a car can influence purchasing decisions. For example, if you’re buying a car and have a limited parking spot or need to transport freight, the length of the vehicle will be critical.

When it comes to things like parallel parking, your car’s proportions are crucial. If you reside in Manhattan and your vehicle is lengthy, you may have problems finding street parking.

If you reside in a neighborhood with narrow streets and quick turns, such as New Orleans’ French Quarter, knowing the size of your car can be extremely useful.

You can see from the above that if you imagine two cars in a row, you can get 8 meters based on their average length.

8. Flyer 8 Sundeck

By combining comfort, vast space, and experiences, the Flyer 8 SUNdeck surpasses traditional day boat requirements. Its well-designed layout makes it an excellent boat for a weekend vacation. A big sunbathing space sits beneath a decent-sized cabin for sunbathing.

With sleek yet appealing lines and black pulpits, the Flyer 8 SUNdeck has the look of a modern classic. The boat lifts off swiftly and provides excellent cruising comfort thanks to its development on the current generation of outboard hulls with Air Step 2.

The aft bench seat may easily be folded back to maximize cockpit space. There are also numerous ergonomically designed storage areas around the boat.

Inside, the Flyer 8 SUNdeck is incredibly comfy. For a boat of this size, the double-berth cabin provides a lot of headroom. There’s also a separate head and a small galley on board.

The boat is approximately 8 meters long, weighs 2314 kilograms, and has a fuel capacity of 340 liters.
